This entire thread is garbage. His premise is flawed, he fails to back up any of his statements, he argues against his own flawed premise, his text is marred by comma splices and dangling participles…the whole thing is disgusting

However CM hasn't seen shock and awe on defense like they will face Saturday. This is O's best defense since becoming head coach.

Really? My whole post related to the injuries on our O Line and how it masked against McNeese how good we are.
Later when actually asked to predict my post was besides QB the O line was the issue to us winning.
Reading comprehension reading comprehension reading comprehension
Your point was we were planning to keep it simple, let the make shift OL do what they could and because our D was much better than MCNeese’s O we would be fine.
That’s the basic plan we have used for years now when we play these this games. Basic football and let our size and strength take over.
The problem though is fir much if the game our makeshift OL couldn’t handle the McNeese DL so that we could run the ball like we wanted. There’s no doubt that O wanted to run the ball way better than we did.
That should be the biggest takeaway. Our OL not handling the McNeese front.
The other stuff (dropped passes, QB play, TB play) is a cause for concern too, but unless the OL does better, we aren’t going to be very good. We need to run the ball, we can’t go full air raid. We need to keep the D honest and in two games we have not.

Exactly. Brady improvised on the go.
The CEH touchdown before half at Bama was installed the week before the game.
Brady saw the Saints run it the previous weekend and installed it the week leading up to Bama.
The base playbook should already be mastered, and game weeks should be for adding wrinkles specific to that opponent.
Not still trying to figure out if you can run your base plays or not.
Really? You only have so much time to put in plays for certain teams. There are not that many shared reps during the week. For instance with Emery out and Goodwin getting hurt first big play there goes certain run plays that would work for them but not for TDP or Kiner. There goes 3 to 4 plays you might want to run. Same for tight end. Had we had Arik there are plays WE could have run with tgat simple would not gave much chance to work without him.
We looked vanilla last weekend because
WE DIDN'T HAVE TO RUN PLAYS THAT HAD LITTLE CHANCE OF WORKING AGAINST MCNEESE.

You actually think head coaches don't get involved in the gameplan with the offensive and defensive coordinators and position coaches before game day? Tell me you don't believe that.

What credentials does Ed have that make him qualified to be involved in offense or offensive game planning?

Just because you didn’t have to run certain plays to beat McNeese you still should have run them for i game practice. Especially since you were getting worked by the defensive front.

I love this thread so much.
OP is in here acting like a screen pass is the goddamn Annexation of Puerto Rico.

Serious question. Is Kikicaca now the biggest douche bag on the board? Lord have mercy, there is no way you have any friends. Who talks like that? Your confidence in your football knowledge is very misguided, for your takes are objectively horrible. Might be the reason you were a walk-on. This 90%'r doesn't think you have any idea what you are talking about.

Every program deals with attrition and injuries. It’s not unique to LSU.

You think half of our playbook is specifically designed with 2-3 players in mind and thus is thrown out the window if they are no longer available?

What argument? All you've said is essentially "I know more than all of you idiots" and proceed to say we didn't run any screens because we don't want to tip our hand (lol) and that if our QBs and OL stay healthy we might have a decent season. Really Earth-shattering stuff

the OP's argument is like saying I can't comment on whether a movie is good or bad because I'm not a director.
I can't opine on whether a book is good if I'm not a writer.
I can't opine on whether a meal is good if I'm not a chef.
I can't comment on the actions of government if I'm not a politician.
Kiki: football isn't rocket surgery. People can see what's occurring with their own eyes.

Funny how none of that is true.. you NEVER mentioned injuries at all in your first post when you blessed the tiger faithful with your insight. Once again, I provided it for you below.

DEAL! Don't know how many games we will win but if Max gets his shite together or Nuss is better and takes over we will have a winning season. QB is the key to our season. Maybe somewhere between 8-4 and 10-2. If I am wrong at the end of the season will man up and admit to this whole board I was wrong. I will also predict both UCLA and McNeese will have outstanding seasons. Both are better than 90% think they are.
Let's drink on it
And just to help you out. Here is what you said needed to happen.
quote:
if Max gets his shite together or Nuss is better and takes over we will have a winning season. QB is the key to our season.
And to simplify it for you, since apparently you don't even understand what you typed. You said the starting QB is the problem and maybe the backup is better, that will be the key to the season. LOL what a clown you are. (then when you got called out, you started crawfishing and mentioning injuries, etc .. and everything else previously mentioned on TD)

If you believe this is the real Key then you have lost me for sure.
I agree a lot is posted by folks who don't know as much as they think- That is evidenced by the number of CEO supporters who slammed many of us who did not like the hire in the beginning and now have begun to see what we all were concerned about.
Most coaches would have won we JoeB at QB on our team.
Now we have multiple issues that need the attention and skill set of a very good Head Coach, we are now seeing the skill set of the HC we have at LSU. This season is all on him- his recruits, his coaching hires, his plan , his binder-
My concern is does he really care today as much as he did when hired or has the millions of dollars satisfied his desire to coach LSU? Either way he will need to prove he is HC material for the LSU level or CEO will be replaced- whatever the cost.
