I have this problem at restaurants with wine. If I order a $40 bottle I should tip the same as if I order a $500 bottle. The work is identical.

At least you tip. I did DoorDash for a while and a $5 tip is on the higher end of most tips I received. Every once in a while you’ll get an occasional $15-$20 tip, but most tips are $5 or below. Don’t ever take a fast food order, especially Popeyes, because there’s likely no tip at all.

Despite the tipping issue/s, DoorDash has an awesome refund policy.

Every time I've had issues, (not that many) DoorDash has refunded me for the entire meal including the tip.

The last time was Firehouse Subs. Big order. The driver forgot all the dessert. Got compensated for the entire meal, tip, and received extra credit.

I use it because I have credits for it on my credit card. I would never order it just because I didn't want to go get my own food.

I read a discussion the other day between some DoorDashers. They said there is an unwritten rule that if the tip is not a minimum of $1 a mile based on the deliver distance, then they are not accepting it. In that case your food will sit and sit until somebody desperate accepts the delivery.

If you are having poor delivery service from these services, its likely because you are cheap.

Does a waiter work any harder bring you a lobster vs a hamburger at a restaurant?
