I just recently saw that angle. I am no conspiracy guy but the more and more I watch on 9/11.........there is no way in hell that the US did not know something big was coming. Im not saying it was an inside job but Id like to know what we knew and when we knew it.

Using jet liners as missiles against those towers had never occurred to people. It’s easy to see the potential in hindsight, but no one ever thought this would happen.

Read the 9/11 report. It was not an inside job, but it was pretty clear they knew something was about to happen. Only a handful of folks at the FBI put it together , but they couldn’t get through the internal bureaucracy in time for anyone to authorize them to follow, bug or search the people of interest. Once the second plane hit, they all put it together real fast, which is why they leaked “who did it” by 11 AM and put the Saudis on the plane out of the country.

Surely somebody reported to the FBI (or someone) these Saudi guys were looking to learn how to fly passenger jets? Especially given the fact, they were not interested in how to land the thing, but only how to take-off and fly the airplane.
Also given there had already been an attack on the Twin Towers in 1993, I simply cannot believe our domestic intelligence assets did not know about the activities of these terrorist.

US Intelligence had this figured out. I’d read a magazine article months before 9/11 that said bin laden wanted to hijack planes and use them in weapons. They’ed already attacked the building with a truck bomb in 93 or 94.

We know they knew. 12 countries told us and that didn’t even include our own intelligence. They were specific enough to have the week of Sept 9th and with high jacked airplanes. Bush was getting the warnings in his morning notes. Their response? Take all of our planes to Canada and Alaska and play war games

It's common knowledge that the intelligence agencies were saying for over a year before 9/11 that Al Queda was planning a major attack on American soil.
Due to interagency distrust and squabbles that were common at the time basically nobody listened to anybody else.
There was a lot of bullshite in the Patriot Act...a lot like 99.9%....the .1% good was the data sharing that it facilitated between all levels of law enforcement and intelligence agencies.

Specific threats about OBL seeking to hijack commercial airliners was in the Presidential Daily Briefing on Aug 6, 2001, IIRC.

there is a pretty in depth documentary about our tracking of the hijackers up to that point. in short, we knew they were up to no good ever since they got here.

Well, the Israelis knew it was coming, because they had a camera crew across the bay recording it.
(And sorry, debunkers, but even the FBI reports states that at least two of them were known Mossad agents and their "moving company" was a Mossad front).
That can mean only two things: One, they knew and told our government and our government did nothing to prevent it, or Two, they knew and DIDN'T tell our government, and in that case, there goes the whole "our greatest ally" thing.

Multiple FBI Field agents and offices reported actions of the terrorists in the year prior to 9/11, including their suspicious flight training. The FBI brass ignored it.

I recommend reading the book "The Man Who Warned America" about John O'Neill and take a quick read through his wikipedia page. The FBI and CIA knew exactly what was going on, on 9/11.
They they sent Robert Mueller in to work his specialty, covering up crimes.
