I know this sounds stupid but did y'all hear why he turned down the bottle of water? Because he doesn't like the plastic bottles. Hot as shite outside, just got done fighting, cops all around, and this dude didn't want a bottle of water because it went against his principles.
A man got to have a code.
RIP Omar.

I definitely caught that. And they asked him one last time and he just looked at the officer a nd laughed. Dude wasn’t drinking out that plastic water bottle

All of those things are plausible but I can't imagine her boyfriend driving all the way back to Florida and not cooperating with police in these scenarios.
That is the part that is difficult to explain away in almost all scenarios.

So his stance against plastics has convinced you of his innocence?
Apparently the thought process is - he wouldn’t take the bottle of water bc he doesn’t drink from plastic means he would never kill a person

Or maybe he didn’t want to take the bottle of water so the cops wouldn’t get his finger prints

I’m not a doctor and I haven’t examined this guy in person but rabies causes hydrophobia and that really would explain several questions about the case.

He didn't want them to have his DNA without a warrant?

The rabies defense, very nice

What's wrong with drinking from plastic? This is not right. Refusing a drink? How bout no, but I'd like a drink from my own or something like that. Just the thing to do from a guy who doesn't want to say shite now

So during this entire fiasco he knew he was going to kill her? FOH.

From websleuths didnt see this angle posted here ...

The story about the two women being found dead was announced on the 20th. If GP had happened to see on the local news on the hotel TV or online, that the two women who told BL to knock it off, stop hitting a woman, had turned up dead, could BL, having been asked by GP if he knew anything about it, perhaps have hastened his trip back to Utah, from the planned 23rd (as GP’s mother believed) to the 20th/21st?

It's about reading people. If he has principles about something as simple as not drinking out of a plastic bottle, he sure as frick has principles regarding murder.

I found his admission that he doesn't drink alcohol way more suspicious than the possibility that he doesn't drink water.

Ehh. That's not so radical. National parks are all working to end plastic water bottle use. I'm no tree hugger but hard to argue that point. They now provide cool(not room temp) filling stations EVERYWHERE. Grand Canyon, Zion, Yellowstone, Rushmore. They don't sell plastic water bottles anymore. It's aluminum reusable bottles for $5.
This is the filling station at Zion Park Gift Shop. The water is pretty cool too. We used it twice the day we were there.

That logic is severely flawed

One would think that would be the case, but alas, it’s not. Like the bird man of Alcatraz

Again, read the situation. Who in that video was more believable? Who was looking out for the other? Who maintained composure? Who did the witness say was acting psycho outside the coffee shop?
Y'all let some boobs, blonde hair, and tears get in the way of rational thought.

He actually said a few times that where they we’re heading to fill up their own bottles at the filling station
