After this season it drops to 16.7. I doubt it’s going to be the full amount. They have been building a case since last year. He will take a negotiated settlement.

I expect a retirement, cash out settlement around half to be paid over 5 years.

the funny part of the negotiating of the buyout will be IF Ed thinks he is going to get another coaching gig. If he thinks yes, he will agree to a lower amount and leave all of the dirt alone/quiet. If his self awareness has gotten better, then he knows this will be his retirement payout. thus, he will fight for more.
