Still coming down pretty good here in Chad Lavalaisville. The heaviest rain looks like it’s just to our west

Can confirm that Baton Rouge is getting hit by some nocturnal tropical rain bombs right now. So loud I can’t even sleep.

Really do enjoy living in Colorado.

Anyway...

Im sure this discussion wont be technical given the graphic theyre going with.

Yeah, Im just going to give the cliffs.

Somewhere in the region is probably going to get some training of 2.25/hr type rainfall rates. Lines will move very slowly to the east overnight, with regions immediately on the coast at the highest risk for flash flooding.

TD Nicholas also looks pretty damn extratropical with that deformation band on the N side.

I don’t even want to look outside at the water level. Sounds like a monsoon out there.

Is it too late or too early to start drinking?

Unless you plan on operating heavy machinery or signing legal papers in the next few hours, seems like as good a time as any.

I figure if a near rush hour monsoon can happen in BR, it will happen in BR.
