There is a lot of truth to it never rains in Tiger Stadium on Saturday nights. It like if storms come anywhere near the campus they open up and go around, not all but most. Plus its not a flood prone area not even close. I have had to have taken a different street (one block over) to get out of the neighborhood during gully washers, but that is extremely rare.

.

Before the TV era kickoff was 730 and I've been told that it was 8:00 in the fifties. It's pretty common for showers in late summer to die off after dark, leading to the it never rains myth.

I work downtown and it absolutely did not storm today. It rained some and drizzled some but never a downpour.

And convection/rain has started to build back offshore South of Franklin like we expected. You can see it build over the past hour.

It goes by minutes per day, don’t have to lose all those days with a good administrator.
Add 5 minutes of instruction on “paper” per day(:30 lunch to :25 lunch) and you can catch up for loss days quickly.

What is getting ready to move into Houma in the next hour or so could be some pretty heavy rainfall if it holds together, which it looks like it may.

If you want to know predicted rainfall totals for a storm, go to the National Hurricane Center, click on the storm in question (in this case Nicholas, then click on the U.S. Rainfall Potential map. Learn how to read that map (when it was created, how much rain by color coded index, how many days the forecast is for, valid from x through y time, etc. Now you know how to fish.

At the time I'm posting this, the 3 day forecast from 7pm Tuesday to 7pm Friday had Baton Rouge in the 4" to 6" range. Remember that it's just a forecast and that particular locations could get more or less rain depending on how things actually play out.

Front moving through sort of stop at the river and split like the Parting of the Red Sea around this area and join back about 1.5 to 2 miles east of the stadium

Holy crap, I know yall have seen me mention that dipshit Tropical Storm Central on Facebook. I was just looking at a few of his posts and that dude is a plagiarist. I see Duke's posts and some Storm2k posters posts there and he just changes a few words. I'm surprised that TD hasn't shown up on his page. What an arse.

He does it to all sorts of people, whether they're known or not. I don't know why they won't shut him down.
