From a current LSU WR... if there was no jersey numbers, and no one knew who was who, and the qb was picked just off of play in practice and the scrimmages...Nuss would be QB 1.

Take that for what it's worth.

A tradition like no other - fans thinking the backup QB is better than the starter.

It'll be interesting to see if he ever starts here. As good as he is, Max is also very talented and Walker Howard is coming in behind him. Great problem to have.

Reporters have reported on it, players have noted it, that Nuss is considered the no1 QB. But most LSU fans don’t want to hear that,

If you know football, then you know it’s definitely a discussion among the players.

You don’t go 18-32 for 308/3 TDs and not have guys thinking you should start.

I’ve been on Nuss since Day 1 - he should be the starter albeit very early at such a bigtime program.

Dude is a winner/has that kill-shot in him; pushes it downfield. He’s electric. Quick feet, very good receiving ball, in-stride.

6A player of the Year; MVP at multiple camps, 7v7s...

I would bet my house you are correct.

Oh and he grew up with a Dad who’s currently the QB coach for the Dallas Cowboys.

I’ll say he will be the starter by mid-season.

Nothing against Max either, Nuss is just an extremely good QB that’s hard to sit on the bench.

Nuss is more talented than Max. Howard is more talented than Max. I'd have said the same before he was ever the starter. But ya know.. he has IT!

If this is true, which I have zero inside knowledge. I could see it play out like a 2018 Clemson. Where Max starts the season and Nuss takes the job over but the coaches knew the entire time.

Again, zero inside info and haven’t seen Nuss in live game action. Haven’t seen Max in live game action after an offseason either.

Sorry Brother, but you’re been misled….

One of the coaches assured me yesterday that QB-1 will be Brian Sparacino….

Last year Max was the second coming of Steve Young. Now he’s just serviceable

I thought Nuss could be a good one watching his highlight tape, and it's good to hear he's developing early and can come in if called on. But don't forget Max went into the Swamp and came back with W. Let's be happy we have 2 solid QBs and another coming back from injury and one coming through recruitment.

My hope is that if the coaches have confidence in Nuss' ability to come in and play that they don't hold Max back on some of the play calling. Let him have designed roll outs, runs and plays that utilize his strengths.

There was a concern initially that with only 2 scholly QBs the coaches would alter the play book to reduce the potential of Max getting hurt. They can't do that and expect to win the tougher games.

I think Brody Miller is a little more connected to the program and he states it's "not even close" ...remember that Nuss is going against 2's and 3's in scrimmages.

I have no doubt Nuss is more talented.. probably makes everything look a little easier

playing QB is not easy thing to do with just talent

just ask J Russell
