They'be been looking at the results from countries in Africa many of which use Ivermectin as a prophylactic to prevent intestinal parasites.
The African countries which distribute Ivermectin have had a Covid case rate of 134/100K and a Covid death rate of 2.2 / 100K.
African countries which do not distribute Ivermectin to their citizens have a Covide case rate of 850 / 100K and a Covid death rate of 29 / 100K.

This doctor is advocating the Japanese government for off label use of ivermectin to treat Covid in Japan. It is a far cry from 'Japan recommending Ivermectin for all Covid patients'.
Japan is in the same place America is. Many doctor's are advocating for use of ivermectin, and the government is cherry picking studies, so they can continue to not authorize it.

Tho I believe that video is somewhat out of date, here is a 2017 article that will turn some heads. Can't believe hadn't seen it before.
