So, you're solution is to infect everyone right now and whoever survives is good to go, right? That is your solution?

The problem with that is that you have to get covid to have it
Cosmo, have you read anything to indicate whether or not vaccinated patients who become infected are getting the same natural immunity protections?
If so, the success of the vaccine, ironically, may be that it better allows for the survival of the COVID infection...only to have the patient truly rely on natural antibodies.
If not, then the vaccine could absolutely end up doing harm.

Seems like there is a hierarchy (like OT tiers):
Tier 1: Vaccinated and prior infected
Tier 2: Prior infected and unvaccinated
Tier 3: Vaccinated without prior infection
Tier 4: Unvaccinated without prior infection
You could really add more tiers with obese versus non-obese

I mean, if you’re cool with a significant chance of hospitalization and death, knock yourself out.

I dont think people were really saying vaccine > natural immunity. its that vax > unvaxxed.
both groups will get natural immunity if there's a breakthrough/infection. I dont think this article should be surprising. the vax is known to use a shorter lived arm of the immune system which doesnt really involve a strong production of the memory type cells that natural immunity does.
I guess I wasn't paying attention when my company, businesses I frequent, and my school ever mentioned that i could show my positive test results, negative reults, or antibodies tests to live my normal life.

I wonder if most of the people who tested positive for the China virus actually had it compared to those who just had the garden variety flu that goes around each year. Their tests don’t really decipher the two and the symptoms overlap.

This is in theory. In practice, it doesn’t seem to be working out well enough to be Tier 1.
Tier 2 - sure.
Tier 1 seems to be a person that has had Covid and is unvaccinated.

I’m trying to wrap my head around why anyone would downvote this OP.
Are there actually people out there rooting for our immune systems not to work?

I had COVID in June 2020 and got the Pfizer vaccine in mid-March and early April 2021. Would like to think I'm pretty well off right now.

If you get Covid, you’re about 100x more likely to die if you’re unvaccinated than if you’re vaccinated.

No sure why anyone would doubt natural immunity or think a man-made vaccine would be better. The reality is many people need the help of the vaccine because their immune system is not a strong as others. Not sure why these are mutually exclusive situations to people.
