New Orleans is a ghost town

The Destroya is earning her moniker. I drove down Canal yesterday on the way home from work and there might have been 20 cars on the entire road. There is usually a bunching of people around the intersections at Royal and Bourbon, but literally no one was there. Sad.

Did you get shot on Bourbon?

If it smells on Bourbon St but there's no one there, does it really smell?

Sounds like an Anne Rice Novel. But all the ghosts have to be gay and shite.

All the traffic must’ve moved to Metairie..

Without all the parties and events NO is the shittiest large city in America. It smells bad, is overrun with crime and large parts of it are a wasteland. You need those distractions to keep people from realizing that.

I hope every dumbass business owner that voted for her is feeling it. And I know by saying this I’m condemning some of my favorite restaurants and bars, but frick it. They need to finally learn.

Sad thing, is they will all vote for her again.

...or LA 1077 across the lake. I saw more cars in 10 minutes on that road Saturday than I used to see in a week when I was a kid. We won't even discuss Collins Boulevard in Covington.

Should be mind blowing but I've come to accept the stupidity that is the left. There is no logic in that group of voters.

Traditionally, August is by far the slowest month of the year for tourism in the city. On account of it being hot as balls and ripe for hurricanes.
This year... I'd imagine it's all-time bad.
Now if in October/November it's still that bad then yeah we got big problems.
Someone "driving home from work" means you should understand this concept, unless you just moved here.

Good.
Wife and I are staying overnight early next month at the Monteleone before our flight out the next day. I'll have the whole carousel bar to myself.

Only issue with that is that there were a pretty solid number of people out and about in early August. A very noticeable decline has happened since the newest mandates have gone into effect.

She was sent here for this purpose. She is not from Louisiana. This is no mistake. Nobody does this to a town they actually give a shite about.
