If you picked a baseball player to play QB

What baseball position would you choose?

I’d go with SS because in today’s game, the QB has to have quick hands, a strong arm, a quick release, throw on the run and from different angles, have good quickness, and be smooth and natural. All this reminds me of Nuss. He’s not robotic at all. I feel like if Max was right handed and played baseball, he couldn’t play that position... way too robotic and isn’t natural. That’s why I think Nuss will be the starting QB by the end of this season or going into next season. The best QBs in today’s game have the same style of Nuss

You're making a judgement off of a guy because of the way he would hypothetically play a different position in a different sport if he were different handed?

And you're telling people about it?

Mikie Mahtook, Jaden Hill and Josh Booty might make pretty good Quarterbacks

The best athletes in sports can always play more than 1 and look natural playing it. I would never want a QB who would look goofy playing any of the 3 main sports. This is about who is a natural athlete and who isn’t

SS seems good, but Catcher might be as equal or better. The catcher has to think fast, direct infield players, pinpoint throws to the bases, and have to take a hit on occasion...

Okay. But your evidence to back up this claim is that Max Johnson would look goofy playing shortstop if he were right handed. So you are relying on a hypothetical (and completely unknowable) situation to make your point.

It is unknowable and it’s a weird analogy... but tell me which good college or NFL QBs you can picture looking out of place in that position

Max would be a dominant left handed pitcher and hit nukes!

Matt Mauk played catcher in the minors before he came to LSU. Mike Miley played SS & QB for the Tigers in the early 70s , left early to play baseball. Would have been drafted for the NFL if he had stayed

Matt Mauck was a professional baseball player for years before he won a NC in football as QB in 2003. I believe he was a catcher, but not sure.

Mahtook player QB for St Thomas More. Our JV went to play them in a scrimmage my Sophomore year (Middle Linebacker) He was the first mobile QB I had ever played against. He trucked me like a MFer in the first quarter.
