Wild Muscadines, Where to Find Them?

It's almost harvest time for muscadines I'm told, and I would like to go out picking. I've spent a good amount of time in the swamps around Pierre Part and the Spillway area, but never in my life have I found muscadines. Any ideas where I may have better luck foraging?

I always had luck on fence lines and edges of fields or home properties back in the woods with people you know.

Mine are just starting to ripen, but I have the kind that do not turn purple, so I never really know for sure.

Old home places back in the woods
My dad grew them, he had wires across poles like grapes and would baby them all year.
He made wine and jelly

Overgrown fence rows in any of the Florida parishes iS a good place to check. I’ve seen them along the pipeline that runs through Hutchinsons creek wma and also along the dove fields located on Sandy hollow wma, if you’re looking for public land.

Sherburne off of big Alabama is full of them. I can email you some pins if you want. I've pulled my boat under, shook the tree a bit, then had enough to snack on while scouting. Some of the areas I've found them by boat could be accessed by foot, just not easily.
