Thank you to the mods for allowing this thread to continue going. It has restored my faith in LSU football fans. It is nice to know there are many fans out there who are NOT knuckle-dragging mouth-breathers (i.e., anti-science / anti-vax / anti-woke).

I suspect fans will still pack the stadium for kick-off, and will start emptying out by beginning of fourth quarter.

There’s a 72 hour window to get a PCR test..THREE DAYS. While I don’t like the mandate…just get the stupid test and go party at Tiger Stadium.

Anti-woke lol

Only people who think they’re way smarter than what they really are claim to be pro-science and yet believe that a man can actually be a woman.

There has never been a "killed" vaccine (not live attenuated like rubella) that has had reported long term effects that have held up under investigation. Pfizer is not a live vaccine, just a piece of protein from the virus. The risks are allergic, acute things, not long term. But the overall benefit outweigh the risks on a population basis.

For elderly that are sickly and those not elderly with a bunch of comorbidities..yes. But for the rest of the population..no. The average age of death with COVID is about 80. Let’s not make this virus into something like the plague. It’s a virus that we will NEVER be able to control..just like we have never controlled influenza. We routinely have had 30-60k deaths associated with influenza yearly..even with a flu shot. And if we counted all people who died while having the flu as deaths “because” of the flu..the numbers would be wayyy higher.

Including anti-woke above is such a leftist lemming thing to do. You also probably minimize biology sex. I wonder if you were anti-wuhanVax before November 2020 like Kamala.

I wasn’t anti-vax before November 2020 and am not after as I received the Pfizer vaccination, but i am against this move by LSU. I see it for the politics it is. Also, If you think stadium decree is purely about science and can’t see spread will happen at open air Tiger stadium just as before (if not more if people now ignorantly think no one there can infect them) you might want a refund on your education.

I have had multiple vaccinations past couple of years besides the Wuhan vaccine but have doubts about these requirements pushing very a specific vaccine now that delta has already caused some issues due to changes to spike protein. I also don’t agree with how natural immunity is being ignored in these decrees that are supposedly based on science - especially those infected with Delta. Recent infections are better off waiting until a better vaccine for current variants comes out, one that is proven to build broader long term t-cell immunity, and can be a proper & safe booster to broader natural immunity they are already developing. Antibody build up or focus is not always safe. We need to make sure ones we create don’t have negative impact on those previously infected with original variants and even more so with those infected with delta and beyond.

Frick off dude the CVS website even says that it can take more than that due to the backlog.
These are PCR tests, not the rapid ones.

I get test 3 times a month. Always find out the same day. My daughter recently went to get one done and found out the same day. They are allover the place.

Just don't understand you people.... If you don't want to get vaccinated or wear a mask...That's fine and your decision...But you have no right to infect other people. My 45 year old nephew was in good health and died gasping for breath in a NC hospital from the delta variant, which is deadlier than the original covid. Personally, I never thought it was a big deal to get vaccinated or to wear a mask indoors if need be. Better than the alternative. Do you think not being allowed to smoking in restaurants infringes upon your "freedoms". it's designed to protect people's health and well-being. I, for one, am looking forward to attending 3-4 games this year.

Rapid tests are available same day. What LSU is doing is sending them off. We used to do that and get the results back the next day to go offshore before they went to rapid testing.

Fully vaccinated. No issue with it personally. But I know many do. If LSU throws a mask mandate on top of this, that’s where they lose me. I won’t go. Masks are ineffective and I won’t wear one especially when melting in the Valley for a day game.

You mean these people can infect other people who are vaccinated and wearing masks?

Have you missed the news about vaxxed being contagious? So, assuming you are vaxxed, you have no right to infect other people.

Only if the "vaccinated" people are not and could not contract, transmit or get sick from the virus. As long as all persons can contract, transmit or get sick from the virus then all persons need to produce a covid negative test. Only then is everyone treated equally. Isn't that what we are shooting for? Even if there was 100% "vaccination", there is still a chance of someone having covid and spreading it to someone else.

After all, they are only trying to protect you.

if that's your standard, then there's virtually nothing the government CAN'T do, because almost any law, regulation, order, etc. by the gov't can be said it's to "protect health and well-being."

Limits on the food you're allowed to consume, because it can be unhealthy.
Limits on the amount of alcohol you consume, because it can be unhealthy.
Limits on your weight, because it can be unhealthy.
Limits on the miles you're allowed to drive, because of pollution.

Anything is fair game.

So you're for unlimited gov't powers?
