to ensure that they don't attack the United States again? It's not an uncommon thing to have happen and used to be a mandatory term in the surrender of a nation or a city.

Tribute has been paid by just about every nation at one time or another in its history. Just one example, out of thousands in the known history of mankind, was the Danegeld.

The Anglo-Saxons paid the Vikings/Danish in Jolly Old Angleland shite-tons of tribute in silver and gold to please just stay where they currently were in England and to not expand their base.

Would it be worth it, say 100 billion a year or any type of military equipment they want yearly, to not have any further attacks on the homeland of the United States.

I am not a pimp. If you would rather have more attacks on our citizens on our soil rather than pay tribute to a military force that defeated us, that's your choice.

Sometimes you have to cut your losses and let pride fall by the wayside. Morons like you would have gladly allowed the Romans to eradicate your loved ones, your city, your known world and salt the fricking earth around your dead body rather than to simply pay them a tribute like just about every one they ever met, or didn't meet, on the field of battle ended up doing.

You are a real tough one and super brave.

So your plan is to give more confidence to the Taliban? What a moron of a plan that is. How about we just have a real president instead of the shite on a stick that’s in the White House? Seems that when we had a real president like Trump in office we never heard of the Taliban, even from the media. Maybe they wouldn’t have dared trying this shite with him in office. Biden learned this type of behavior from Obama. Giving into the enemy is not the answer.

1. That idea is cowardly in relation to America and proffering it reflects poorly on any hope that you would be perceived as anything other than a sniveler.
2. To do so would purportedly violate a plethora of stated policy, though weak-kneed, Democrat administrations gladly and often capitulate in this manner.
3. Does anyone really think Jalopy Joe and his Praetorian pussies aren’t already tearfully throwing piles of treasure, as well as offers of personalized blowjobs, to the Taliban goat frickers as they beg them to please, PLEASE let American nationals get to the planes?…

Biden already paid t them tribute by allowing them to keep all of that military equipment.

That was left for them with the agreement that they would let Americans out and no violence would be done to Americans.

Of course biden negotiated from a position of weakness and this we end up in this situation.
