My son is losing his job due to not taking the vax.

He is a nurse at a large hospital in Mississippi. Initially they said no vax, then he had to wear an N-95 mask of which he was fine with. Now, no vax, no job. He has until 9/15 to decide and 9/30 to get it. He is leaving most likely. Really makes me mad. I don't get it other than power, control, politics, whatever..... If you get the vax you can still get Covid and still infect your patients. I served my country in the military long enough to retire to see my family have to go through this crap. It is time to revolt or we will be in the same shape as Australia. Saddens me but it must be done.

Unfortunately it’s not all the hospitals fault at this point. CMS is already handing down the mandates for nursing homes. Biden said any facility that accepts Medicare and Medicaid. That’s a broad brush. Lots of Hospitals have swing bed units.
I hate that there will be hundreds of thousands that eventually have to choose between personal beliefs on the vaccine and their job.
I’m vaccinated BTW but I don’t believe it should be mandatory.

Good for him taking a stand, fortunately as a nurse he will be in high demand. This is a game of chicken and particularly the hospitals doing this are really going to suffer, like those in Houston. Prayers for yall
