Gusters is very good although I think she needs a little more time to get into better shape. Aifuwa being here for one more years gives her that extra time before getting into that full time role. Moon is not a PG, I think Pointer is a much better distributor. The difference now is Pointer has a reliable shooter to knock down a open shot along side her.

PG: Pointer
SG: Ursin
SF: Probably Shematsi (size and versatility) but they could go small ball for more shooters on the floor.
PF: Newby/Petty/Bartlett (this seems like the most competitive spot)
C: Aifuwa with Gusters off the bench

The 3 and 4 spots are the most up for grab spots on the team. Kim in general does not start a lot of true freshmen but I anticipate Bartlett will be in the mix given her size and skills early on. Its kinda hard to predict lineups given the brand new systems they are implementing and certain kids coming back off injuries

Only 3 of the 6 kids Nikki signed last fall will be on Kim's first team, Ware, Hall and McNeil. Hall and ware have a lot of upside though.

Wow. I completely missed LSU getting Autumn Newby from Vanderbilt. Good get. Why didn’t she play at all her junior year—the COVID season? Was she injured?

Yes, Hall and Ware have an extremely high ceiling. Have to thank Fargas for recruiting them, though I have much more confidence in their development under Mulkey.

Look at what we are saying about the talent level. Those seniors/transfers are all high IQ players wirh Ursin running this system all those years at Baylor.
That starting group will be competing for the SEC title this season. You’re talking about Pointer who would start on every team in this league as well as Ursin for about 95%.
Then Aifuwa, and Newby are not going to take long to learn this system.
Gusters already knows the system. Give her until December and she will be really good to go.
There’s Hall, Bartlett, etc…
This team will be excellent because Coach Mulkey demands excellence.
