I hope he wrecks shop. I hope we get UGA in the SECCG and he obliterates them.

We need another Moss. That guy was so clutch in the playoff. Man what a team in 2019.

Why is this a surprise? The kid is 6'7" and runs like a wr. If you would go look at his high school tape he plays a lot of wr.

I think Kole Taylor isn't being given enough credit by many fans and some posters on the Rant.

He has added weight and hopefully, will be an improved blocker this season. He was actually a pretty good receiver last season, and with the experience he gained, should be improved this season.

I believe you are right. Kole will probably continue to grow into that body and develop into a very productive player for us before it’s all said and done.

Could you imagine Taylor and Bech on the field at the same time in a game. A man can only dream

Would be great if Taylor did break out but I simply dont see it. You havent heard a peep about him in practice so far, he looked pretty hapless last season (to be fair he never should have been on the field that early) and we're desperate to find answers at TE right now. We threw the ball 81 times in the spring game and he didnt have a single catch even (and yes, he played).

Just dont know where a pick like that comes from other than simply expecting some TE to have some catches in this offense, if anything I think it will be Bech over Taylor in that aspect.

I think Kole is still likely a year away. He was always a bit of a longer term project with Arik being the game ready freshman.

He’ll have a decent year, but even with his weight gain, he still needs to add strength from what I’ve seen. Will be a pretty good traditional TE eventually.

He was always a depth guy, never meant to be a starter. The plan was for Gilbert in 2020-2022 and then hand over to Jake Johnson in 2023 there basically while a guy like Taylor was always in the shadows just providing a little bit, but likely never enough to be noticed. Now we're in a spot he has to play and likely play a lot because we just cant not have a TE on the field ever in our offensive scheme. It's just not a good spot for him. I know he is trying to do all he can but I really hope the fanbase doesnt rip him apart if he's not anywhere close to what we had previously at TE.

The way I look at it is he was supposed to be the Logan Stokes of the TEs here but now we expect Foster Moreau, Thad Moss, Arik Gilbert since he's forced to the front and that's just not who he is. Maybe he can be a Colin Jeter for us, if he can rise just a bit more.

Kole Taylor is not an asset as a blocking TE. Not physical and still not enough time in the weight room.
For those who claim he has WR skills, he has not yet shown them. Routes are not sharp and little separation.
Last year he averaged 5.1 yds/game. He has 6 catches for 36 yds, a stat helped along by a single 20 yd reception. Bech is a better choice from a receiving standpoint, even as a true freshman. Neither are ideal as blocking TEs.
