Yeah nothing says "time-honored LSU football tradition" like singing some cheesy 90s country song that mentions Baton Rouge in passing; but it gets the yokels in a tizzy before kickoff, so I approve of its playing

Nothing says LSU like a guy from Oklahoma who went to Oklahoma State singing a cover song that has nothing to do with the school, was written by a guy who never lived in Louisiana, and was originally recorded by a band from Tennessee.

I used to love it but now it’s super played out and definitely isn’t as special as some people make it seem. I’d rather hear some zydeco, Jazz or something unique to Louisiana be tied to LSU tradition.
