re: Have any of you taken Ivermectin or do you know anyone personally who has?

Calling it "dog medicine" is ignorant. It's listed as an essential medicine by the WHO, FDA approved, and a commonly prescribed drug (for humans) in this country and all over the world. Do these designations matter or not? It's hard to keep up.
Never use medications intended for animals on yourself. Ivermectin preparations for animals are very different from those approved for humans.

Where are all the people dropping dead from Ivermectin?

So you trust the WHO and FDA for that but not the vaccine?

It’s the same medication/active ingredient, but the prescription for humans at Walgreens and cvs is in a pill/tablet, and the medication for horses is in a paste. I hear there is a liquid “drench” to pour over livestock (to treat parasites topically i guess)?? That, I would assume, at least, is not to be ingested by anything (humans or livestock)......
The paste I am told comes in a tube with notches on it for the weight of the animal. The syringe I hear is the same. I have heard there’s banana and apple flavored.

Yes. Someone in my family (nephew) came up with CV about 3 weeks ago and his wife was able to get Ivermectin prescribed to a local pharmacy by using an app called Medici. I saw the bottle and it was $20 for 70 3mg tablets (generic for Stromectol) with instructions to take 10 tablets every day for 7 days.
I googled the name of the doctor that did the script and they do have an office in Navarre, FL.

Its FDA approved in a pill form unlike their shot.
Just for the sake of accuracy, the drug is indeed FDA approved for treatment of parasitic infections caused by several different nematodes. It does not carry an FDA approval (nor an EUA designation for that matter) or indication for either treatment or prevention of COVID-19 clinical disease. Many drugs are used off-label for various reasons as "accepted or customary use", which is generally backed up by data suggesting (1) efficacy treating the condition and (2) safety within that context.
To tout Ivermectin as a more palatable choice in the battle against COVID-19 based on its being FDA approved for use in parasitic infections vs the vaccines that currently only carry EUA designation for prevention infection and/or severe disease from SARS CoV-2 infection lies somewhere in between ignorance and disingenuousness, I suppose according to the source.
It would be truly wonderful if indeed Ivermectin were to turn out to be effective for either treatment or prevention of COVID-19 disease, given its low cost and general availability, and I don't know that I would argue against its use in the context of clinical trials at this time. However, disconcerting is the fact that the Cochrane Review on the subject does not seem to make a very compelling case for its use at this time.
Cochrane Review ...Ivermectin for preventing and treating COVID-19
Edited to add link to systematic review of available literature.

Way to conveniently cut off the rest of what I said...
I am vaccinated and I have nothing against the vaccine. I just find it hypocritical that people dismiss any mention of Ivermectin out of hand instead of listening to what these doctors have to say.
There should be no "sides" in this or rush to pull down posts and videos because they are "disinformation". I support people getting the vaccine, but I'm not so invested in it that I scoff at the mention of another treatment. It's insanity, tbh.

Ivermectin has been approved. It’s been around since the 1970’s.
The vaccine didn’t complete it’s trial. Since the vaccine trial isn’t complete and it’s the first of its kind, there’s nothing to trust or not trust yet.
When it comes to ivermectin, it has passed. The data is there. You can make an informed decision. It passed all the trials and has been in use for over 40 years across the globe.
Its not about the organizations. You can’t really trust any of these big organizations any longer. You have to look at the data. Even that is skewed now though.
My post, however, was not to divide vaccinated versus unvaccinated. I’m interested in hearing the stories of those who have taken ivermectin. That’s all.
I also find it very curious that the ones who have come on here to shoot it down had no personal experience with it. And the ones who have had or know someone who had personal experiences with it were all positive.....

At that meeting, he and two others contracted covid. He got extremely sick from it, though not hospitalized.
Oh no sounds like… THE FLU!!!!!
To be fair, he isn't the healthiest looking guy. The fact he wasn't hospitalized may be attributable to his taking the ivermectin.

There is this from The American Journal of Therapeutics

Conclusions:
Moderate-certainty evidence finds that large reductions in COVID-19 deaths are possible using ivermectin. Using ivermectin early in the clinical course may reduce numbers progressing to severe disease. The apparent safety and low cost suggest that ivermectin is likely to have a significant impact on the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic globally.

Yes, my wife got covid and the Dr. prescribed all 5 of use Ivermectin. We all took it and me and my kids did not get covid.
My wife was in the bed for a week feeling like shite, coughing, running fever and one night her heart was fluttering. But she never got to the point of needing to go to the hospital.

It also has antiviral properties. We are talking about year old usage successfully to treat CV

I tested positive last Tuesday. Started feeling pretty bad Friday. Dr prescribed Ivermectin (12mg/day) and Doxycycline Hyclate. Took it Friday night. By Sunday morning I was feeling nearly 100 percent. Never got short of breath or tightness in chest. Feel great now other than tickling feeling in throat that causes cough every minute or so.

i havent read the literature so cant comment if there is any validity at all. I am suspect of any real efficacy. However please be careful taking this. It can be very neurotoxic if taken incorrectly and very dangerous to anyone who has a compromised blood brain barrier.

Like that time I was prescribed beta blockers for migraines and it worked?
Also, ask India and parts of Africa how Ivermectin is working for them.
People can choose what path they take. I had covid body aches, chills, fever for 6 hrs. Wife a few days longer. Maybe it worked maybe it didnt but there were very low or mild side effect risks with it. It was a MUCH better option than the vax for me. Everyone else needs to decide whats best for them and work with their doctor to determine best course of action as I did.
