Not true. The winner and runner up both go this year since there are no international teams allowed.

If you make it to the finals, you’re in.

That’s a great trip. I went with my son several years ago. Those two stadium fields are made to major league quality standards in little league size. Wonderful place and wonderful people.

Please consider donating to Lafayette Little League to help defer the cost of family travel to watch their kids play in Williamsport. The kids travel and stay free but the parents and siblings have to pay their own way, and it isn’t cheap. It’s always better when the families get to see it live, in the stadium.

Don’t act like they didn’t sign up for this.

Doesn't matter, the runner up and winner go. They can't finish lower than runner up.

Just talked to Boudreaux's grandfather and yes they do have one more game to play.
He said they need to win the next game to go to Williamsport as the A team representing that region!!

That’s probably best because the Chinese team from the Wuhan province was poised to wipe out the competition this year.

Go ahead on Lafayette! Another of my old stomping grounds going to kick arse in Williamsport. The first one was Warner Robbins, Georgia back in, I think, 2004. They won the whole shootin' match. Beat a Japanese team for the championship. On a downer note, not a single one of those kids was playing baseball by the time they got to high school. Totally burned out.

So many great LSU players came through Lafayette Little League, including Andrew Stephenson and Mikey Mahtook. UL’s former coach, Tony Robichaux, told me once that he preferred Little League kids to most travel ball kids because the little leaguers learn early on that they have to win to keep playing, while travel ball kids are usually guaranteed a certain number of games on each trip. With little league it’s win or go home.

Lafayette has a great program. East Bank has put together a great program also. Louisiana could be back to back champs.
