Keep in mind that this is just filtration efficacy. The size of a covid particle has little to do with its viral load, so the mask's ability to filter is not truly an indication of its level of protection.
In other words, the vast majority of the masks being used are useless.

They also result in a lot more face touching which is a major infection vector.

This all explains why the flu disappeared.
The masks in the real world have no ability to help, and most likely is huge negative if used more then once.

It's a tool that makes us feel safe and therefore, more vulnerable due to not practicing common sense hygiene.
It's like we live in a world of 2 year olds out there.

That won't stop the biden administration and the covid cultists from using this study to show how effective masks are are stopping the spread of the virus

Who cares? They're never going to get people back to masking up again. That train has left.

There is only really one use for people to wear these masks in public.

This is the constant refrain, I know, but who is this really applying to anymore at this point?

I took the mask I bought months ago that was a triple layer cloth mask because it had a section for a filter, and cut out everything except the outer piece of cloth.
Still hard to breathe, but better.

So panty hose wrapped around your face is 50% more effective than the mask everyone is wearing... cool.. cool cool.

Up until recently, the only time a person wore a mask in public was to hide their identity because they were doing something that required anonymity.
I still find in unsettling to see a store full of people that I can not truly identify if I had to.

Imagine the numbers for school aged kids and realize how dumb masks are.
In a lab you can't even prove masks make sense.
In the real world, where people constantly touch, pull down,.stuff in pocket, wear dirty....they are a hazard.
Total bullshite.
"A Day in the Life of a Corona Mask" would be an interesting documentary and would show how truly disgusting it is to keep this dirty rag across your mouth and nose for hours and hours.

Vacherie is partially correct. A SINGLE aerosol of 2.5 microns carries enough virus to infect the host. That single aerosol droplet reaches 50-percent probability MID. Which means it has a 50% chance of infecting you. Viral load of the droplet will depend on the load of the host, how deep from the lungs, and the size of the droplet. Regardless, a very small droplet is enough. That filter efficiency is abysmal to fight infection rates.
An aerosol droplet of 1 micron to 10 microns contains 1000 to 10000000 virons. 1 viron is believed to be enough to infect a host.
Since the masks are not designed to filter aerosols they are essentially and statistically useless. Kansas saw a decrease of 1 case in 1,250,000 people by implementing mask mandates. It saw an increase of 1 in 800,000 people in counties without mask mandates. Why, thats a huge difference in % of infection rates! Not.
But shut the frick up and wear your mask, sheeple.
