The first couple months are hard, but then they start smiling and that makes everything easier.
It's normal not to bond with them right away. Don't feel bad about that.

Neither of my kids wanted a thing to do with me until they were about two. They wore their mama out during those years.

I'm 2 months into one now and he just started smiling and laughing. Totally worth it.
