Create a white supremacy group where every single member is an agent, recruit and brainwash dumb people to join and BANG you’ve got a real white supremacy group. Then they plan a plot to KIDNAP a governor and convince the dumbasses to agree with it? Then arrest them in a sting?
Isn’t this just a way to justify their existence like the DEA does?
What else can they fabricate before people realize that the FBI/CIA/DEA actually IS the boogie man?!

This is what any/all branches of government does, I have first hand experience. Creating “monitoring” work and “test plans” and making sure to log it all via some form of paper work, so as to be able to show your work or “value”. It’s not normally sinister like what the FBI is doing, but justifying existence is a common thread throughout government, just think of all the paperwork cops have to log at every interaction
