bullshite. With NIL, Oregon will be showered with unlimited Nike money. USC and UCLA will have stratospheric sponsorships in Los Angeles/Hollywood/SoCal.
I don’t know how it’s going to look, but NIL assures those west coast schools will be powerhouses and very much relevant.

Agreed. The reason for taking MO & A&M was to give the SEC Network access to HO, DFW & the Midwest (MO). What do Tx & OK bring?
Making a SuperConference just makes it even harder for us to get to the NCG.
Maybe 2 x SEC Conf Champs (like Semi-Champs) with those GUARANTEED to be in the Final 6,8,12, whatever, while still leaving other strong teams a chance to qualify?

So having two extra teams means more SEC games during the season, and less rent a wins? There should be no more than two rent a wins, but I prefer only one.

Play your pod and 6 additional games. Play every opponent every 4 years.
Did you mean play AT every opponent site every 4 years? Because the math to me seems to work out that you would play every opponent every 2 years.
Example using 2 cross-pod teams every year:
Year 1 = OM, State, A&M, Arky, Mizzou, Auburn, Bama, Florida, Georgia
Year 2 = OM, State, A&M, TX, OU, Tenn, Vandy, UK, USCe
JUST AN EXAMPLE choosing first 2 teams listed. That would certainly not be the selections, but just showing you play ALL teams every 2 years. With home/home rotation making it playing AT all teams every 4 years.

LSU plays 1 permanent from the other PODS,
I sure hope non POD permanent opponents are gone. Isn't level playing field...

Well the one issue with the PODS that the SEC network put out was that Auburn and UGA were in different PODS. ESPN is going to want top notch inventory, so maybe they tell the SEC, we want to see the LSU/Florida game, the Auburn/UGA game even if you go to the POD system. If LSU has to play Florida as a permanent from POD4, and Auburn plays UGA from POD 4, then Alabama and OU can be permanents or Bama and Texas, etc.

You can cycle through all the teams every 2 years with home/home every 4 years using my posted example above.

You Have UK twice......seems right. That would be two wins in each division for the other teams. I like it.

If the programs were to effort an SEC debut in 2022, each could owe up to $80 million to the Big 12 as a penalty for leaving before the current TV rights contract expires in 2025.
Which I’m sure ESPN will forgive it. This is as much ESPNs doing as anything else.

Nonsense, in a 12 team playoff, the SEC is getting 3 teams in. Stop and think about it, the SEC Champ is in and a top 4 Seed with a Bye (probably 1). The SEC runner up in Atlanta is a likely 5 seed.
The Big 12 is done that leaves the SEC, Big10, ACC and Pac 12 and Bruce Marshall from the Gold sheet was on ESPN 104.5 LSU's Baton rouge flagship station and he said USC and UCLA are not happy in the PAC12 and have hinted at joining the Big10 or even ACC, geography for Super Conferences is no longer an issue.
But current format, the 4 Conference champs get in, lets say CINN gets in as a 12th seed. That leaves 7 Wild-cards. You think the PAC12 is easily going to get 2 in, they have had trouble getting 1 in. The ACC, 2? doubt it, maybe if Notre Dame was in full time.
SO who gets those other 7 bids, lets say Notre Dame got 1, that is still 6, I can see again 3 SEC teams, the Runner up and 2 other wild cards and 3 Big10 teams getting in or maybe 2 other BIG10 and 1 PAC or ACC.

frick Texas. This move will negatively affect LSU, Arkansas, and ATM more than any other members. The rest of the conference will reap the benefits at our expense.
I'd prefer Oklahoma and Oklahoma state, but it looks like its too late.
Sankey is a shithead too.
Stop melting like a teenage girl.

They'll switch A&M with Arkansas. More balanced.
Easily fixed by making LSU play Oklahoma or Texas every year.
Texas, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma should be in the same pod. Only question is if you add Arkansas or Missouri to the pod. But I still say Texas, A&M, Missouri, and Oklahoma for the western pod. Way too much history.

Bets on the Sooners jump the gun and issue a statement early?
You know it is in their nature. Probably don't want to be at the same podium as Longhorns anyway.
Imagine if Stoops was still at OU with all the "I hate team SEC" stuff he's said over the years.

I’m surprised UT hasn’t created its own conference, with only UT in it, called the Longhorn conference. That way, the longhorns can boast about winning conference championships in every sport each year.

Disagree, it will balance the schedule. In the saban run for championship, how many times has Alabama had to play Florida and Georgia in the same year. That becomes much more likely now.

(2) what will the intra-conference realignment look like.
Whatever it looks like, I'm certain it will be situated in such a fashion that Auburn gets to play Georgia every year, and bama gets to play Tenn every year, and how that impacts other teams doesn't matter.
