Praxis Examination

I have a friend taking the Praxis Examination soon. Social Studies section.
(Not Me. Done with testing. I've passed the bar exam, although that doesn't say much considering the current state of the bar.)
I'd assume she needs to do a practice to study course. Which is the best?
Thanks.

Once she registers for the test, she will get access to a practice test.

Everybody knows that one teacher who had to take the Praxis 4 times before she passed.

I took it with no prep about a decade ago. Anyone with a college degree that has to prep should give their degree back.

You really wanted to tell us you passed the bar didn’t you? Doesn’t it have a very high pass rate?

Most people test out of having to take the Praxis I. If it’s the Praxis II, just get a practice book for that subject area and adderall. I scored in the top 5% of all time test takers on it without the Adderall. Not a difficult test at all.

I was exempt from Praxis 1 and took Praxis 2 and passed the first time. I know of at least 6 teachers in my school who have taken Praxis 2 at least 4 times and cannot pass. They all have master's degrees from online universities- pay for a degree. One has 3 masters and her doctorate, but cannot pass the Praxis. If you look up their teaching certificate, they all have a TA certificates, good for life. I am truly certified and have to renew mine every 5 years. It is ridiculous, but all came about when John White was superintendent of LDOE and let go of a lot of employees to put his fellow Teach for America friends in position - people who (like him) spent less than 5 years in the classroom.

Doesn't the new superintendent only have like 3 years of classroom experience?

Exactly what is wrong with our education system. The leaders don't have the experience to make sound decisions. Yet, they wonder why we rank so low.

If she is truly friends with you she has a far worse issue than an upcoming exam.

You shouldn’t have to study for the content knowledge exam.
