Flu Shot Question

Every time the flu shot topic comes up, someone is bound to say "Someone I know got the flu shot and then got the flu."
Why are we not hearing this with the COVID vaccine?
ETA: I mean people who imply the vaccine CAUSED their flu.

Who isn’t hearing this? Everyone I know that has gotten the vaccine, has gotten Covid again.

It's not that it's impossible to get COVID while vaccinated, but how would you know the medical status and history of everyone you know that has been vaccinated? the covid vaccine doesn't contain the virus, plus the flu vaccine doesn't really give anyone the flu either

Not many but I had to get tested not long ago after being exposed to a vaccinated coworker (who caught it twice). I don’t know a lot of people who are vaccinated, or admit to being vaccinated but the ones I do know have in fact gotten Covid since getting it.

we hear it all the time. however, it's been said that, if you get the covid after receiving the vaccine, it isn't as bad. same as we used to be told about the flu and flu vaccine.
