Asymptomatic spread is incredibly rare.

That may be true there, but the uptick in cases where more people are vaccinated is mostly vaccinated people.

Sure thing. Don’t get the vaccine if you don’t want it. What are you arguing?
That most of this discussion doesn't get anywhere, this Doctor's comments are idiotic.
Sweden was right because it was based on science and common sense.
Listening to these doctors is a waste of time.

Well yeah, if everyone is vaccinated your only cases will be vaccinated people

physicians who have dedicated their careers to hospitalized patients.” Simply put, hospitalists are medical specialists who most often earn a residency in internal medicine and are certified in hospital medicine
Now, I am certain this hospitalist in particular is the cream of the crop...

“I am currently working in the COVID ICU in my local hospital. We are experiencing a major surge & 98% of admissions are unvaccinated patients. I have cared for critically ill patients in their 30s, 40s, & 50s. Each patient regrets not having gotten the vaccine when it was first offered. Please don’t hesitate any longer—get vaccinated!“
quote:
“I’m admitting young healthy people to the hospital with very serious COVID infections,” wrote Cobia, a hospitalist at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, in an emotional Facebook post Sunday. “One of the last things they do before they’re intubated is beg me for the vaccine. I hold their hand and tell them that I’m sorry, but it’s too late.”
This is the type of cohesive messaging you get from doctors that may have a financial interest in making sure their 'favorite' pharmaceutical company is successful pushing a drug.

Idk as to a specific number. If it provides any decent amount of protection from getting covid, spreading covid, reducing symptoms, etc., then I'm for it. Decent in my mind here is over 20-25%.

Doctors are the smartest people around. If you don’t believe it, just ask them.
We put so much trust in experts in this country when the experts we trust are just referring to other experts who are deferring to other experts.

Um, Link???
Do you have access to epocrates or other subscription based pages? If not then you will have to settle for ivermectin's wikipedia page If you have access to the subscription services then wikipedia has them linked for you to review.
quote:
Ivermectin can be given by mouth, topically, or via injection. It does not readily cross the blood–brain barrier of mammals due to the presence of P-glycoprotein (the MDR1 gene mutation affects function of this protein). Crossing may still become significant if ivermectin is given at high doses (in which case, brain levels peak 2–5 hours after administration).
Ivermectin does not cross the BBB when used at approved dosages. However it does cross at higher than approved dosages.
quote:
One main concern is neurotoxicity after large doses, which in most mammalian species may manifest as central nervous system depression, ataxia, coma, and even death,
quote:
Since drugs that inhibit the enzyme CYP3A4 often also inhibit P-glycoprotein transport, the risk of increased absorption past the blood-brain barrier exists when ivermectin is administered along with other CYP3A4 inhibitors. These drugs include statins, HIV protease inhibitors, many calcium channel blockers, lidocaine, the benzodiazepines, and glucocorticoids such as dexamethasone.
Let me translate that for you, glucocorticoids inhibit CY3PA => increased ivermectin concentration => increased risk of ivermectin (a neurotoxic agent) crossing the BBB at any dose but especially high dosages.
quote:
In vitro, ivermectin has antiviral effects against several distinct positive-sense single-strand RNA viruses, including SARS-CoV-2. Subsequent studies found that ivermectin could inhibit replication of SARS-CoV-2 in monkey kidney cell culture with an IC50 of 2.2–2.8 µM.Based on this information, however, doses much higher than the maximum approved or safely achievable for use in humans would be required for an antiviral effect
So to achieve an antiviral effect dosages much higher than the maximum safe dosage would be needed. Add that to the fact that glucocorticoids increase the serum concentration because they inhibit the enzyme that is vital in eliminating ivermectin. You get a serum concentration of ivermectin that is not only a risk for crossing the BBB but almost certainly going to cross the BBB which again is no bueno.

frick that. That would be bad for a flu vaccine.

HCQ is effective in the early stages whe you have mild systems and don't have to be put on a ventilator. Ivermectin works better in more severe settings....but I don't see why people are so hesitant to the vaccine. Thus far side effects are at a low rate and mostly anecdotal. You have 100 million fully dosed and fewer that 500 deaths if that many somewhere in the range of .000005 percent. I'm not for mandates or even passports, but overall getting it is a good idea.
Politically take it to call their bluff if you get up to 50% reported and couple it with those who have the antibodies you can tell the Covidistas to STFU.

Actually, its more complicated than that.
It is starting to appear that people that have already had rona, have a higher protection than with the vaccine. Now, you have a whole other group and groups with the groups.
Vaccinated/Previously Infected
Vaccinated
Non-vaccinated/Previously Infected
Non-vaccinated
At the end of he day, at this point -> it doesn't really look like vaccine does much. We need more data but we'll probably never get the data.
Sweden was right just like most of us said last year here.
The protection for previously protected looks like it is much higher than vaccinated people = people that already had rona.... shouldn't take any risk from the stupid jab

The mRNA vaccines were originally 90%+ effective at prevention of symptomatic covid.
Delta variant is a little trickier for the new vaccines and they’re only about 60-70% effective at preventing symptomatic covid which is still pretty good all things considered. I received an email from my professional org today that said delta is now 85%+ of all sequenced covid isolates in the US now.
It’s still 90%+ effective at reducing covid hospitalizations.

If the hospitals are still getting more money if a patient has Covid there's no way you can trust what these doctors are saying. If you think a doctor will be honest with you and ruin his financial bottom line you're a damn fool. These doctors are just as much of business people as they are medical doctors. This is the same BS play that was colluded by the medical establishment, Democratic party, deep state controlled government agencies and mainstream media.

So 48 out of the 400,000 to 450,000 or so people in the metro area. That shite is out of hand. Shut it down NOW.

It basically non-effective, the people that have gotten rona... appear to have a greater protection.
Sweden was right i.e. chickenpox parties.
