But have they even worn full gear in practice yet?

A closer source said we were better at this time last year on defense then we were at any time in our title run in 2019

Let’s Geaux

Hope you are right but I still remember O saying last off season that the 2020 defense was better than the 2019 defense.

That didn’t work out like he thought

That said, unless the coaches shite the bed, there is no reason this defense shouldn’t be pretty damn good.

Can’t get any closer than Ed Orgeron, and he said this in August of 2020!

Well we are paying two DC's so we should be twice as good as last year.

never forget going in to that Wisconsin game with that new offensive scheme, and I predicted toss left would be the first play of the game and it was

Go back and look at the play by play... we actually tried to pass the ball to start the game but Harris couldn't hit the broad side of the barn on plays meant to get him in rhythm. He was inaccurate on swing passes and wr screens. It's one of the worst starts to a game than any lsu qb in recent history.

Ok, it was still the same archaic offense. We just tried to pass more at the start of that game

I love how people think that modern updated offense meant pass more lol

Considering last years was probably one of the worst in LSU history, I am sure we are better. Hoping we are awesome

I’m not really concerned about the defense. If they stay healthy they have depth and talent at all 3 levels if Coach Jones is just a good coach doesn’t even have to be great then the defense will be stout. As for the offense the OLine and Tight End position both have me worried.

Yeah that's not what I meant and I knew more football at age 9 than you will ever know.

D-Line is back to an elite level of depth. When you have a damn good pass rush, it makes it a lot easier to hide any deficiencies you may have at LB or DB. Also very excited to see what Daronte can do as Coordinator

Talent and depth wise this is one of the best DLs we've had in a while. That along with Ricks and Stingley healthy on the edges gives me hope.

If the LBs and safeties can play sound defensively and not give up big plays this defense should be significantly better.

Ok our defense is back. Are the safety’s and linebackers back? It would be nice to hear who is doing what to solidify the areas we are concerned about. I’m sure the line will be better and the corners are going to be elite but what about the middle?
