Whats up with the Leliani Heno chick? Rumblings via the woke uptown crowd is she may be their candidate of choice.
Shes making some waves.....honestly its going to be a 3 person race.......
Belden "Noonie Man" Batiste, D
Douglas Bently I, I
Manuel "Chevrolet" Bruno, NP
*LaToya Cantrell, D
Luke Fontana, D
Leilani Heno, NP
Matthew Hill, I
Nathaniel "Nate" Jones, I

Look up the other candidates and you will get a good laugh except for Nate Jones....he's a well known former football coach at Karr and St Aug

No chance with that R next to her name on the ballot in Orleans Parish
All of Lakeview will vote for her and some of Uptown and Lakewood Estates

quote:Thanks to the Jefferson Parish part of that congressional district. Cao got beat in Orleans Parish even though his opponent was under major federal indictment that was a national news story
Joe Cao would disagree
From Wiki
quote:
Unofficial results on the Louisiana Secretary of State's web site showed Cao with 33,122 (49.55%), Jefferson 31,296 (46.82%), Kahn 548 (0.82%), and Rahim 1,880 (2.81%).[74][75] Jefferson won by 23,197 to 20,246 in Orleans Parish, where 21 of the 392 precincts showed zero votes for Cao.[76] Cao, however, more than made up the difference with a margin of 12,696 to the incumbent's 8,099 in Jefferson Parish.[77] A post-election map analysis by the Times-Picayune showed the election result as having depended on higher turnout in the precincts favorable to Cao
And he lost re-election 2 years later when he wasn't up against an opponent with Bill Jefferson's indictment baggage. Only Republican since 1890 to win that district.
