Just found out that my soon to be 1st grade daughter qualified for the gifted program....

It's the system-wide elementary gifted program. She will go to a seperate building once a week w/other 1st graders from across the county and take gifted classes. She got tested at her school back in the spring and we got the letter in the mail this evening.
Proud dad right here. My eyes are welling w/pride as I type this. Couldn't be happier.

congrats, mine went through a similar program. I really don't know it makes much difference in the long run, but certainly doesn't hurt.

my kids were in this. I helped with the program.
