Iron Purchase in 2021

Who on the board has ordered irons this year? I made a Mizuno purchase in mid-May and they are just now getting built. I still have no clue when I'll get them in my hands. It's been about 9 weeks at this point. Is that the norm still for most brands or am I just having horrible luck here? I'm getting fitted for a driver should I expect the same lag time for that as well?

I’ve purchased an entire new bag and lead times are insane still. I ordered 3 new sm8 wedges 11 weeks ago and still nothing. Mp20s took 9 weeks to come in. 3 wood took 6. Lead times are slowly getting better but shafts and some grips are still an issue.

Full bag in January, had everything by mid March. Taylor made irons, Titleist woods, sm8 wedges, cobra driving iron.

Which mizuno did you get?
I got the jpx921 with kbs shafts and got them a month later when they were released

He put me on these MP-20 HMBs and a KBS CT Lite X shaft. Hopefully I can get them before Sunday. What is the time from build to shipping usually? These guys aren't really giving me any information.
It's frustrating I played a really nice course yesterday and it was Trent Jones design so the shots were technical. The irons I have don't have the right lie angle and it really fricks up my rounds sometimes with a bad hook. I know these new irons will reduce that a ton.

If you got a notification that they're building them I would bet you have them in the next 10 business days.

Most delays now are due to certain shafts and grips. If it we me and the grip I chose was holding up my order I’d get them to make them with something the have in stock

I told them that exact thing but I just found out the kid who fitted me quit so maybe that wasn't communicated to the other guys. Oh well if they're getting built I'm good to go it sounds like.

I got a set of New Level PF-2's last week. 5-W for $600. I've been on a direct to consumer kick the last 10 months. Got Sub 70 639 CB's last fall and really like them. The PF-2's are the best looking club I think I've ever hit and they feel great. Very soft forging.
Customer service with New Level wasn't in the same constellation as Sub 70 but damn, these irons are beautiful.

This is correct. It’s all about components. Could be an 8 iron shaft they’re waiting on. Could be grips. You wouldn’t know unless you hound the guys to check on it. If everything is in stock with the company, you’ll get it quick.
OP if Mizuno says they’re building your set, you’ll get them quickly.
ETA: I placed an order for a set of Srixons with DG X 100 shafts in March, and I believe they’re waiting on the 37” (9 iron and pw shaft).

PXG gets a lot of hate on here but i ordered some 0211’s and i love them. It took exactly a month to get them.

I'm in the 8-10 range. I was fitted with a 7 iron and my ball speed averaged 121.5 MPH, launch angle was 19.1 degrees with 5348 RPM spin, 175 carry and 187 total yards with the Mizzuno.
