Plus, he already seems like one of the boys. Especially compared to someone like Mahrez, who has been in the squad a lifetime already and looks like he knows the guys about as much as I do.

Yes, it def helps with the English baws we have. Him and KDB are already brothers. Poor Zinchenko.

Ake's father passed away minutes after his goal, had been battling an illness for a while.

So what happened yesterday v. Chelsea that was so different from the last three times? Same players. Even played without Fernandinho for most of the match

City could have easily won 4-0 but for some heroics by Mendy and Thiago Silva.

City were just so much better, save a couple scary counters.

Splain it to me.

Idk either. Should’ve beaten SHampton and I hope they continue this play vs PSG this week.

Rodri. Grealish. Cancelo. Jesus in form. Bilva playing like a man possessed.

We're better without Sterling starting.

That would be a GREAT week. It would also send a statement to the rest of the Prem that the title comes through the Ethiad.

#MCFC starting XI: Ederson - Walker, Laporte, Dias, Cancelo - Bernardo Silva, De Bruyne, Rodri - Mahrez, Sterling, Grealish

Facing the dreaded Messi, Mbappe, Neymar front for once. Should be a good one.

I'm so shocked we didn't score with Sterling starting.

Grealish just isn’t the quality drunken brits thought he was. Hakimi shut him down all night, and he takes too long when he’s got one touch to get the shot off

I feel the same about Sterling. No need to have him and Jack on at the same time.

He isn't the second coming or anything but tonight was his first bad match IMO.

He still REALLY fits the squad though. He brings a tenacity and urgency that reminds me of David Silva. Obviously he's nowhere near Silva's level but that piss and vinegar has been sorely missing the past season or two.

Sterling kills each and every attack he's involved with. He just gets the ball and dribbles into trouble or sprints until he's at a horrible angle and can't pass so he runs out of bounds.

IDK if it is the Lyon miss or what but he's been absolute dogshit since. He's gone from maybe our best non-ginger player to total arse QUICK

Watched the match last night and was very impressed with the squad as a whole. Foden is incredible as well as Cancelo. I remember thinking the Cancelo swap was a huge bust after year one

Well, that sucked.

Surely Mansour has enough money to get Haaland, Salah, and Mbappe during the winter transfer period?

Lack of a pure striker is why the boys lost the League Cup.

Meh. Maybe. They had shots on goal. They just didn’t put them in the back of the net. I’m over Sterling dribbling all the way to the net and turning it over. Shoot or pass brah.
I’m kinda ok with the loss. I feel like every year they are in the mix for multiple cups it takes away from the main goal…Champions League and Prem.
I do agree we need a striker. I also think Jack is coming around slower than anticipated. He’s not getting the fouls he’s used to getting.

I was over that two years ago.
