LSU offers scholarship to 14 year old spelling bee champion Zalia Avant-garde!

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Leaders at LSU have offered 14-year-old Zalia Avant-garde, who was recently announced as the 2021 Scripps National Spelling Bee Champion, a full scholarship to its Honors College.
In a tweet Saturday, LSU President William Tate extended the offer to the Harvey, La. native.
In addition to her spelling expertise, the teenager is also a basketball prodigy and owns three Guinness world records for dribbling multiple balls simultaneously.
Avant-garde says she hopes to to play in the WNBA one day or even work for NASA.
Congratulations to Zalia for her accomplishments. She is going to be a star no matter what she does in life.

GTFO with that. A 14 resident who wins the national spelling bee is going to qualify for tops anyway. Worst case scenario she doesn’t qualify for tops and LSU gets cheap advertising for the next few days for the scholly offer.

So let me guess. This prodigy is going to go to LSU instead of an Ivy League because our CRT pushing president offered he a scholarship before even high school.

Eh, seems like a move that satisfies all parties. One one side, people are happy bc she earned it. On the other side, people be happy with the diversity angle. But when things are on the line and lsu has to choose, we all know which side they’re going to screw.

Cool...my son who graduated at the top of his class in 2020 with a 32 on his ACT barely got any offers of financial assistance from the Flagship outside of TOPS, so he went elsewhere.

I’m very happy for her success and of the example she sets, but the public faux jumping all over her is gag worthy. Everyone needs to prove they’re not racist. It’s a bunch of fake BS.
