Convince me today's modern left won't move to cancel 4th of July

When I saw this tweet from a member of congress ON the 4th of July, it sealed it for me...these people HATE America. They hate what this country is and want to fundamentally overhaul it.
So when we're talking about a holiday celebrating a bunch of white guys, many of whom were slave owners, signing a "freedom" document that didn't guarantee the equal rights it espoused. They'll tell you that America is deeply rooted in racism and never lived up to the ideals of the declaration of Independence, so why is it a day worth celebrating? This is particularly reinforced by a recent poll that shows patriotism and the American flag are seen as Republican values.

They might not fully cancel it but they’ll certainly try to remove its luster and probably focus more on Juneteenth. And it will probably have its own flag too

What I'm thinking.
This is a holiday that celebrates everything these people despise. America's founding, our founding fathers. The Declaration of Independence, the flag, our history, American exceptionalism.
For them, a day to celebrate all these things rooted in white supremacy has no place in mainstream society.

shite, it’s just as likely that Republicans will cancel the 4th of July because they no longer believe in democracy and our electoral system.

Our founding wasn’t a frickin democracy. Most republicans probably would prefer to go back to the way the electoral system was at our founding
