San Francisco DA official says crime surge fears linked to racism
A senior official in the San Francisco District Attorney's office linked fears of a crime surge to racism in a tweet that raised eyebrows Sunday evening.
Kate Chatfield, a senior director in far-left District Attorney Chesa Boudin's office, downplayed safety concerns amid a nationwide crime spike.
Chatfield was reacting to a Twitter user who said that "every single one of my friends right now is considering leaving" San Francisco due to crime fears. "My friends are scared for their children, and their husbands are scared for their wives," the user wrote.
"'Husbands are scared for their wives' —-your reminder that the ‘crime surge’ crowd shares the same ideology as The Birth of a Nation," Chatfield fired back, referring to an early 20th century White supremacist film.
Chatfield locked her Twitter account – making it so only her followers can see her tweets – after her comment about crime fears drew sharp criticism online. Boudin's office didn't immediately return Fox News' request for comment.
Reports of vehicle break-ins in San Francisco were up by between 100% and over 750% in parts of the Golden City, according to the police department's most recent monthly statistics.

SF’s minority population is pretty damn small as blacks tend to live in the outskirts like Oakland instead.
How is crime a racial thing in a town where blacks make up such a small portion of the population?

Funny story slightly OT, but I have a progressive friend but she is semi-smart when it comes to policy and doesn't always go with the herd. Super high profile attorney here.
Anywho, her and her work cronies had an event in San Fran early last year where their flight was landing just around lunchtime, so too early to check in the hotel.
I told her before she left "seriously, DO NOT LEAVE YOUR shite IN THE CAR"....so instead of heeding said advice, all 5 gal left their stuff in the car while they went to lunch.
Came back and ALL of their things were stolen
with a broken window to boot. I literally laughed on the phone when she told me.

I would not travel to San Fran if my life depended on it. Can you imagine having to defend yourself legitimately and hurting the assailant? They’d lock our white southern A’s up and deny bail just like the 1/6 DC arestees.

That's also linked to Democrats. The majority of Democrat policies revolve around tricking major city black people into believing that they are slaves and that all white nondemocrats are white supremacists.

My sister enlaw and husband came back to Louisiana from SF about 5 years ago. They lived in Marin County. They were there for 5 to 10 years. They both drove large SUVs and had to get rid of them because when they went somewhere and parked they would comeback to a keyed or kicked car. That was 5 years ago and it has just gotten worse. Glad they came home.

And the Weather Underground terrorists were the most violent, anti American terrorist group in existence at the time. One of its leaders was convicted of bombing a police car that resulted in a LEO dying. A bombing of a police station, full at the time, didn't happen because the bomb malfunctioned. Otherwise 100's would have died. She was serving a lengthy Federal prison term when Democratic President Clinton gave her a full pardon. While I don't know for sure what the current makeup of the people driving the increased crime rate in San Francisco I wouldn't be surprised if it was mainly young, black men. The "despite only being 13% of the population..." saying isn't a lie.
