Who remembers going there as a kid? It always seemed like a far arse drive from Chalmette to Power Blvd as a kid

I do. Loved it. I kind of almost want to open one on the Northshore.
What I thought was hilarious, as times have changed, is volunteer parents from our class would pack their car with everyone else's kid after school letout, and drove us there for the party. We would run amuck for 2 hours. I never felt that parents were watching as the place was so big.
Nowadays at gym parties the parent stands 15 feet from the kid and watches them like a hawk, correcting them every 5 minutes.

Hell yeah it was. But looking at that commercial, I never knew they had one in the East. The East was already well on its way down by 1990. I can only imagine how much of a cluster that place was.

Not even for Skate World in the 9th ward or Skate County in the East?
Y’all needed to get out more, you could only go to Putter’s Palace so many times for a bday party

Yeah it was getting there but not quite terrible. We shopped at the plaza until near the end because mom had a card at one of the main stores. Early 90s is when every other store was either closed or was a shoe store. I did buy some Jordan’s there in 95ish. Whenever the 11s came out.
I think that was the last time I went to the Plaza.
I did hit up that circuit city once I was able to drive in 96 because they had the cheap CDs.

You weren’t getting your discount Jordan’s at Weiners?

I remember growing up with spacewalks and then meeting people in college from Lafayette who called them fun jumps and my mind was blown.

The drive from Gretna there seemed like it took days.
It was easily my favorite place to go as kid in the NOLA area.

The wall where you stand in front of it when the lights were on, then when the lights went out, it made your shadow on the wall. That was fun. The big electricity ball when you put your hands on it. I remember feeling like a villain doing that. Fun times.

You guys are making my head explode right now.
2nd floor at Fun Factory is where shite went down. Putting your face against the needle table and making dick shapes on the walls of the shadow room.

What a nostalgic thread. This place was the tits. I remember running in and heading straight for the tire/rope hill to get to the second level.

Didn’t watch the link, but is it the same place that was “Lindsey’s Space Walk”? Definitely a great place for a party, but did it beat Roller City and Chuck E Cheese?
