Eventually, money will come from the school as there will be no enforcement. At least if its the NCAA.

The money will come from 3rd parties. This will mostly be buying players. A small number will actually make money on their NIL.

If there is money to be made, money will eventually come from the schools. That is the nature of business, why do you think they i.e. NCAA is still trying to cap what school can do?

If all the schools were unwilling to pay, there would be no reason to try and force rules.

Garrett Nusmeier, Kardell Thomas, and every other player is as well. What's the point?

The schools are unwilling to pay, that's the reason for NIL.

Schools can't pay because not even the richest of schools can afford to pay every athlete an equal amount which is what Title IX would require.

This is a way around that.

All the dumbasses that wanted this rule passed have no idea the type of door that opened that can’t be shut

Schools like USC, UCLA and Notre Dame have great publicity departments. Future recruits can be told they will make money for using their likeness (and lots of it)

You now have not to worry about your “slime” budget for recruits. Millions now can be directed to facility improvements and handing blank checks to coaches and staff members.

If that was stopping them, why is the NCAA trying to impose another rule in violation of antitrust?

Top kids will go to markets where they can make more money. That doesn’t bode as well for schools in small college towns.

And yet LSU had NILSU plastered in Times Square.....I’d say LSUs publicity dept is well on top of this....

You realize that college football markets are nothing like pro sports, right? Saban and Alabama will continue to haul in talent. If O can win, so will LSU. This will not change college football in the least.

Thank you, this hasn't been the case for an extremely long time. I also don't think NIL is going to change anything noticably to an average fan much at all, but that won't stop a few here bravely declaring they are now done with college sports.
