Are saiyans sorta sith?

In DBZ, Goku, Gohan, and Vegeta all initially reach super saiyan form by tapping into their anger. They use rage to make themselves more powerful. It is often seeing their loved ones being harmed that sends them over the top and unleashes their full destructive power. Doesn’t that sound like a sith to you?

If Vader killed Bulma, Vegeta would have wiped out every single planet in the Empire... Only to lose to Vader in the end and have Goku win and get the glory.

Although, Goku seemed to be less prone to attachments than the other Z fighters. Dude barely gave the slightest f$&k about his wife or eldest son. He only sorta cared about Krillen because he knew he’d have to find a way to wish him back.
Goku seemed to have one sith trait, which was that he only cared about increasing his power and being the strongest, but he was remarkably anti-sith in how he never wanted that power to accomplish any real ambition or vision. He just wanted to see how powerful he could become.

I thought the explanation was you had to have a "need" to move on to super saiyan. Like Goku NEEDED to defeat Frieza to save people. It a more mythical state of being until Toriyama went bonkers with it.

He is basically stabbed when he finds out Black killed them and then goes ham on Zamasu and Black simultaneously. One of the better goku moments in the series.
