This totally ignores that hispanics are white.
I feel like differentiating them into their own category is like in the early 20th century people didn't consider italians as "white"

Now stop obfuscating and show Bush Jr's numbers instead of just comparing Republicans that ran against Obama to Trumps numbers.
The truth is Trump only improved with the minority vote percentage over republicans that ran against the first black presidential candidate.

This is misleading because what they really mean is, “not European.” To give you an example, I’m white and my wife is Filipino, and our daughter is half-white, half-Filipino. Looking at her, she looks white. There are millions of mixed Asian/white people in this country that identify as all 3 labels: white, Asian, and “mixed”; however, they are never labeled “white” in census records. It’s the same with Hispanic/white offspring.

White means European.
It doesn't mean Mestizo or half white it means of European descent.
Like black means of African descent.
