Been hankering for a good buffet meal, recommendations please

I don't think Johnny's is currently doing their buffet, and I'm not sure if they plan on bringing it back.
Also not sure about Gatti's.
Thai Pepper had the best buffet, but they still haven't brought it back and I'm not what their plans are.
Not a buffet, but Sushi Masa is AYCE and it's damn solid imo.

Saw some pics yesterday on the BR subreddit from El Magey, I forgot all about that place but I remember it was surprisingly good. Central Buffet has also been open to dine in for months, medium quality but they do have some good items.

Yep, it’s back in some of their locations and more are opening every day. You can see a list of their buffet locations on their Facebook page.

Gatti's buffet has been running for a while. Sadly, Swagat has no plans to reopen their buffet. Wouldn't be surprised if Thai Pepper doesn't open theirs back up either.

If you like Asian, kamanari by campus has a badass hibachi buffet and other stuff too. I think its called Taste and See now

I would have given myself the worst heartburn and been miserable but i would have enjoyed every last bite.

I went to Golden Corral 2 weeks ago for the first time since Covid. It was very good.
Hard to beat for 13.99. Hoping to go again soon.
Central Buffet is very good too, but a bit of a drive for me.
Oriental Buffet is solid. But GC beats it hand down for dinner(GC starts at 4pm). Steak, pork beans, fried catfish, fried chicken, etc.

Punjabi Dhaba in Hammond, and yes the buffet is open.
Thai Pepper should be bringing back their buffet soon.
