Why in the frick do people waste family time talking politics?
How can you avoid it?
Its quite literally the only thing in the news.
Its overtaken sports, entertainment, literally everything.
I find it impossible to avoid.

That's 100% a you problem, YOU are making it your entire life.
I haven't talked 1 word of politics with anyone in real life in years. Have people made references while talking to me? Sure. I just don't answer, and that's that. If they keep going, I exit the conversation.
It's extremely simple. You're doing it wrong if you feel you can't avoid it. You either want every topic to be about politics or you're hanging out with the wrong people.

I guess you can't if you park your fatass in front of the TV with Fox News on 24/7.
For those of us who are normal people, it's really easy. How's the kids baseball going, how was vacation, what are your plans for the summer, blah blah blah, plenty of small talk if you aren't a loser

During election time, I’d agree. Everyone is talking politics. Outside of that and social media, plenty of people really don’t
