Atlanta Restaurants

We will be going out to Atlanta in July for a few Braves games. Looking for a couple places to eat around Atlanta. Any Recommendations? Preferably around the Battery area, which is where we'll be staying. Thanks

Atlanta always gets shite on for their restaurants, but I'm convinced it is because people stay downtown and are judging it based on Hard Rock cafe.
Atlanta's real strength is with its selection of ethnic cuisine, especially on the northeastern end. Korean, legit authentic Mexican, Vietnamese, Indian, etc....all have really top notch restaurants.
For you near the Battery, Antico is really good pizza (Dave Portnoy scored it in the high 8's if that means anything to you). Ph'east is a really good Asian food hall concept. Superica has tex mex and El Super Pan has general Latino food.
If you have the time, head down to Krog Street Market or Ponce City Market. Both are these big food halls with a bunch of different smaller restaurants inside. Both have very very good options along with bars.

Canoe isn't far away (Vinings) and was a solid farm to table concept when I ate there a few years back.

Heirloom Market BBQ- Taylor and Lee’s Southern-Korean barbecue restaurant offers a must-try spicy Korean pork sandwich on its menu with chopped rib meat marinated in fermented chile paste, topped with kimchi coleslaw, black sesame seeds, and a sliced scallion. Order the sandwich with a side of Brunswick stew or collards.

Dantes Down the Hatch (original location, not the underground one)

In the Battery is Antico pizza and Fox Bros BBQ. Both are really good. There are several other places, but I have no experience with them. Ray's On the River is close to there and used to be good, but it's been several years since I've eaten there. Someone else mentioned Canoe and it also used to be really good, but I haven't eaten there in years either. It's a chain, but I've always had good experiences at Maggiano's Little Italy. There is probably a better Italian place in that area though.

Near the battery, Porch Light Latin Kitchen. You won't be disappointed.

Paul's specialty is recommending Atlanta restaurants that were super popular with girls in 2008

Yakitori Jinbei is right up the road from the Battery. Guy Fieri featured it on a DDD episode. Great little place. Katsu Curry Ramen and Korean fried chicken are phenomenal. Heirloom bbq is fantastic. Plenty of great restaurants on Howell Mill Rd too. Miller Union chef/owner won James Beard award several years ago
