where's the aplogies for that dude who scooped this?
also - if we had to lose 1 "star" player for 4-6 weeks, I think Colston would be the one that we can overcome.
Moore can slide right into Devery's spot and we can use Reggie out there a little more often as well.
Meachem shouldn't even enter the conversation other than battling it out with Copper for the 4th spot on 3rd and longs.

The more I think about this, the more I think it's not a huge deal. So long as Colston takes his time to heal right and we can count on him from November - February we'll be fine.
DEVERY is the one who needs to step up the most. This is his chance to prove he's a legitimate #2 WR in the NFL.
Shockey, Moore, Bush, Copper, and Meachem will all have chances to help pick up the slack.

Well, Devery is the "down the field guy" and Colston has pretty much been our TE. Shockey will get those catches, similar to Gates when Drew was in San Diego.

Bush, Shockey, Patten, Henderson, Moore, Meachem, and Copper... we'll be alright.

It was me. No apologies needed. I had no reason to make that shite up. I bleed black and gold. Losing Colston sucks! I was informed of the injury and thought other Saints fans would like to know.

dammit, I don't know what you guys are talking about I think this is a significant loss to this team
Devery on one side, Patten on the other? we may be able to overcome this, but I sitll dont like it
HEEEELLLLOOOOOO Shockey

quote:No, Devery is not the 'possession receiver' that Colston was. If anyone needs to step up, it's Copper and Shockey.

we are going to throw out a bunch of midget WR's...thats never good.
hopefully we can split the games he is out

that would be solid IMO considering our WR core

Oh Yeah, to you Lester Earl, GO frick YOURSELF!

this isn't how I wanted to start my Tuesday. Didn't even know he was hurt.

Come on, losing Colston is not THAT big of a deal.
We should beat Washington and San Francisco and go 1-1 between Denver and Minnesota.
We still have more offensive weapons than any NFC team with the possible exception of Dallas.
Indy rolled without Marvin last year. The Pats rolled in 2006 with crappy receivers. We have Shockey and Reggie Bush and another solid receiving TE in Campbell. We'll be fine.
Anything worse than a 6-2 start is a disappointment IMHO. We NEED home field throughout the playoffs, and there's no excuse for not earning it when you consider what Dallas, Philly, and NY Giants have to go through.
