Was it Landry or OBJ who caught the kickoff one-handed against Arkansas! It was the most incredible touch back I had ever seen.

From a pure football perspective , I enjoyed watching Clayton and Landry more than any others on that list. They both played special teams and attacked their blocking assignment with bad intentions. They both made high lights on plays where they did not touch the ball. Two extremely physical players who also ran precise routes and made great catches.

Put Reed, Landry, and OBJ on the 2019 team and the discussion might be totally different. Chase was great, but Reed was the best route runner in LSU history.

All these posts without Chase #1 are trolls right?

Or still mad that he opted out.

It's a tie for me with Chase and Reed. If Chase played last year, I think he'd be #1.

After that, I'd go Clayton, then Landry -- both superb all-around players -- receiving, blocking, and on ST.

The more recent guys often get favored. For instance, people remember Landry as a ST headhunter, but some forget how good Clayton was on ST. They both played 3 years. Landry finished with 21 tackles, which is impressive. Clayton finished with 36 (4 as a Safety vs. Texas in the Cotton Bowl).

Pure talent? Landry.

Potential? OBJ(can't get out of his own way headcase drama queen)

Pure, blue-collar, grind-it-out production? Reed.

Josh Reed in a modern college offense would be downright unreal

And I have no idea how the SEC leader for yards in a season(let’s be real he still is the record holder) and single game is not being mentioned consensus as the best LSU WR

Hell he isn’t even making most people stop 2 or 3

Anyone without Reed as the consensus number 1 is either 14 years old or doesn’t know anything about LSU football history

If you include Jefferson in this, I think he's top 5, maybe #4. Overshadowed by Chase, but by the numbers, JJ actually had a more productive career.

SEC leader for yards in a single game

Not anymore and on a related note, Boutte will end up on this list
