Here's the Hawthorne video. I get goosebumps and onion eyes every time I watch. Warren is still such a nice down to earth guy.

There. Sitting near Warrens parents near the top of the stadium behind third base. You can see us on the picture of Warren rounding third base and the Miami players are laying on the infield.

I always watch Tiger games by myself at home (wife says I get too crazy) .I was on the phone talking with my brother and getting nervous that we were down to our last out. Morris was our last hope and then the biggest clutch hit in CWS history happened! Hawthorne’s call was magnificent and echoed my feelings of joy at the Tigers winning the NC! Now let’s do it again on the 25th anniversary of that great day!

In the Persian Gulf on the USS Mobile Bay. Had to wait for the radio traffic to come in with the sports scores to find out what happened.

At home watching with family and friends (including Tulane fans). We all went ape shite!
... and now as I am living in Miami, I periodically attend UM baseball games with my LSU Tiger "96" jersey.
Jim Morris (former coach) apparently noticed my jersey one day, came over, and chatted for a little while during warm-ups.

I was sitting in a ugly red Chrysler mini van listening to the game while my mom and dad watched my sister at a horse show in south LA. I was 9 years old, and was yelling scores to everyone in ear shot as we made the comeback. And by the time the homerun came i had 30ppl crowded around mini van listening to the game hooting and hollaring lol had a blast in that hot arse can running laps to my dad and back to car every time we scored ??.

Hawthorne is the voice I will always associate with lsu from when I was a kid listening to basketball baseball and football games. I was shocked
upset and saddened when I moved back south and tuned in to the radio and he was no longer enthusiasticlly calling the LSU games with passion.

At our old family lake house on Lake Bistineau. Had it on the air antenna so reception wasn't perfect. My Dad and I had spent the whole afternoon inside instead of on the lake with the rest of the family. When Lanier struck out, my Dad got up off the couch and said "turn it off, its over, lets just go outside." Told him to wait, lets just see what happens. It will always be my all time favorite moment in sports since it was just me and my Dad watching.

I may have the most interesting story.
Was at a wedding in Winter Park, Florida. Groom was my research assistant. Bride was David Eckstein’s sister. He and his brother played for UF but had been eliminated, so they could be at the wedding and reception. Parents were in Omaha until a couple days before wedding. Big issue.
The first child of that marriage is named David Steven Schoemann, with the Steven being after me and David after his uncle David.
David was listening to the game at the reception and told me about LSU winning in a walk-off. I was, at the time, dancing with my pregnant wife. I knew how to say yes ma’am. Lost my wife last year. But I still have my daughter. Maybe I could have been watching my Tigers, but I got that dance. Would give anything for one more.
David still owes me a signed ball. His sis told me a few weeks ago I’d be getting it soon

We went out to the Parking Lot and drank Coors Beer in Baseball Bat Bottles for about 2 hours with a bunch of other LSU fans.

Coming back from New Jersey - only got sporadic updates.
Was riding home from Metro Ryan airport and heard the last 3 batters. When Morris came up, I told Mrs. Midnight, "All-American kid, but he got hurt at the Olympic trials. No homeruns all year. He's due." *dink*
I shite you not.
