The coat and tie is ridiculous but we just had this conversation at dinner Saturday night. At what point is it hot enough to make it OK to wear "dress shorts" to a restaurant for a nice dinner?
I think shorts with appropriate collared shirt and loafers or white bucks is preferable to Khakis with wet spots on the legs from where I am sweating.
