Same. McDonnell is the perfect blend of tough nosed yet likable.

One poster posted it was McDonnell for 2.4 million I think. Schmelly?

Right. $2.4M is ridiculous, but Scott did just pay $2.5M for the woman’s basketball coach right?

They went south after they had to take a 10 day break because their series with Pitt was cancelled due to Pitt's COVID issues. TBH, that was when Pitt started going downhill too. Before that break, both teams were ranked in the top 15.

Isn’t there a reason he’s available to talk?

I doubt our fans would have given CPM a pass on something like this.

I agree with this. That’s one of my hesitations with O’Sullivan, he just isn’t very likable

McDonnell, IMO, would be a great choice. I think everyone would get behind him and be happy with the hire

So with all this McDonnell hype, where is Louisville playing right now? Nowhere?

Not saying they should, but most of our fans are idiots.

If they somehow pull McDonnell that would be homerun. He's not really on many lists because well, it doesn't seem like he ever wants to leave where he's at.

McDonnell would be a very solid hire. Very solid. You don’t here his name mentioned often here

His name was mentioned a bunch before the season and during last year. Vitello overshadowed him on the board this year

He's not mentioned much on here because he's firmly planted. He has turned down multiple opportunities in the past. Most people on here probably thought he had no shot going to LSU. Seemed like he has always been happy where he's at.

As far as fits go, I think he's a great fit for LSU. People going to say well, what has he done? Being a fit is just as important as winning. He's getting older but he's still a very good fit for LSU, imo. I think he's a better fit than Sully.

I just want the best coach that LSU can get that gives the program more shots at national titles. McDonnell fits that

Wait, you aren’t all in on O’Sullivan anymore?
