The Casey stuff is dumb click bait. No truth to that.

Pat Casey is 62 and has been out of coaching for like 3 years now.

That really doesn't make any sense.

Yep. Good balance of experience/results but hasn’t been to the top yet and should still be hungry. Builds rosters littered with prospects without the benefit of a deep pool of elite in state talent which means he knows how to identify/sign the right circuit guys, manage the 11.7 with most of them being from out of state, and develop them. That translates better to LSU’s situation than guys who can build a championship roster with 95% in state players.

McDonnell was always one of my top 3, but I always saw him as a pipe dream

I would piss my pants in excitement if McDonnell is the choice. He is the #1 guy to me. Couldn't care less if they missed the tournament this year.

I'm not hearing much new from what I've already posted. Sully was the guy but they didn't expect to hear of some obstacles. They'd moved on but Sully is back in the picture. Godwin and Schloss are in the picture, in that order. They have a small group outside of those that are certainly in play.

Yeah there’s been some posters saying prepare to be shocked too which was kind of a head scratcher. McDonnell or Casey would be shockers.

I don't know how they're looking at it. It's someone that they didn't target bc they didn't think he would be interested. I'm just not grouping him in with Sully, Godwin, and Schloss bc of that.

ETA: If Dan was here in person, I didn't hear that other than reading it on the internet. Certainly doesn't mean that he wasn't here.

Wouldn’t mind this at all. Think he is a great candidate.

He’s basically an older, “safer” Vitello.

Though it goes without saying Vitello obviously isn’t the risk many would have you believe since he’s already doing what we want to do within the SEC.

I don't think the big problem with Vitello is that he's a risk. The big problem with Vitello is that Tennessee will pay him to stay. He's also rubbed our players the wrong way, which may only make a difference in the short term, but he's far from ideal for a smooth transition.
