We did nothing to break pitchers rhythm

The pitcher for Gonzaga was pretty good for college...credit where it’s due. We did nothing to help ourselves to try to throw him off. For the last five innings he was never forced to get out of rhythm. Why not try a bunt, step out the box a few pitches, make him work? Horrible approach once we knew he was rolling...we did nothing to break his confidence

It’s obvious the majority of our batters can’t pick up the spin on the ball.

If this team were an animal at a vet’s office, euthanasia would be prescribed.
2021?

The ump didn’t like calling strikes.
It was so bad we swung at a 2-0 pitch that was a ball, down 3 runs in the 8th.

It’s why I was screaming to check his glove/belt
At the very least maybe it would piss him off and affect his focus

I saw him reach down to his belt then rub his fingers. Idk if he had something, but given his history, it’s certainly worth a look.
Of course Mainieri just sat there like a bump on a log

The approach should have been anything on the outer half is a take. Eventually he’d have to start throwing fastballs.
Instead they went up there and fanned at pitches they couldn’t hit with an oar.
ETA: The lefties just watched his hanging breaking balls for strikes then swung at fastballs at their eyes for strike 3.
All in all it was an impressive display of hitting.

We don't ever do anything to help ourselves. Just let the opposing pitchers (those that are pretty good) send up back to the dugout after K'ing or popping out. Same story almost every game.

He didn’t do I with runners on base but I think he could’ve been called for balks with they way he pauses during his windup. At the least Paul should come out the dugout and bitch about it. Something to screw with that guys rhythm

Getting a few more hits would have done it.

Eddie Smith is the Joe Brady of hitting
